it depends on the application. if the liquid to be transported is hihgly reactive and corrosive then glass is more preferrable, but for industrial environments metal suit a lot. but an ideal pipe would be an external metal and an internal glass fusion pipe. but the cost is to be watched out.

Both type of the pipe possessed their own specialty and shortage.For metal, probably it will long last as it was made up from a hard-resistance material but instead it also might cause you problem when managing it's part also tending to get rusted water.For glass, you may find it easier to get crack. So, it's up to yourself option @ consideration.

it depends on what ur using.
for normal use metal pipe should be used because they dont break easily
but 4 very carefull observed uses glass pipes r better
