The official language of Malaysia is Malay (Bahasa Melayu) and the official language of Indonesia is Indonesian (Bahasa Indonesia) and the two languages are not the same, but are mutually intelligible - a bit like American and British English (but not as close) or like Brazilian and European Portuguese.
Although Bahasa is spreading very rapidly in both countries at the expense of the indigenous languages, you should remember that not all Malaysians speak Malay and not all Indonesian speak Indonesian.

No. Indonesians speak Bahasa Indonesia, Malaysians Malay (or Bahasa Melayu). Because they have similar influences (Islamic, Buddhist), they could almost understand completely each other. Almost.

Well, most of Malaysians could speak Malay and English. There are a lot of different languages spoken by other native Malaysians(Iban/Melanau/Bidayuh etc ..)

It's more or less like British english and American english. Fairly everything is the same except the slang you talk and some difference in words such as "bisa" and boleh". Comparable to "Kilometre" and miles".
