If there are so many English experts here then how come no one else can figure out the reason she is saying learn instead of teach is because like most other things about our culture, our language is backwards compared to others?

The reply to the difference between Will you and Can you is pretty simple: In most Latin languages it's the same word, so there really isnt any difference to anyone but us.

If you are in Australia, then go to a school that teaches english, there are many of them in all cities. If not try a search on www.google.com for learning english. (esl)
if that fails, send me a message. I have a very good internet based english course available.

I can help you. = ) I'm not American, but I'm majoring in journalism (in english). I've got teaching experience too. I've been teaching Koreans in the Philippines how to speak in English.

We would have to 'teach' you NOT 'learn' you.
You 'teach' a person and 'learn' a language.
You can also 'teach' a language TO someone else.
