Because we are not starfish?
God heals us inside, instead of outside.
If we did, would this be a proof of God? NO Then everyone would say it was a biological process. God is much more worried about our souls than our bodies.

Maybe, afflictions are not about the afflicted but about those around them to learn to love and care. My brother has down syndrom and I have learned so much from him. I believe in God but I couldn't convince a non believer. I know we are hear to learn and to help.

With God all things are possible, and He is the same yesterday, today and forever.
Do you believe that God can heal any sickness? Maybe headaches, pains, cancers e.t.c if yes, then yes he can regrow an amputee's limb. If no still know that God can. Jesus raised the dead and healed the blind, the deaf, the demon possesed e.t.c there was no limit to the kind of sicknesses that He healed in His time.
However know that God sees the end of a matter from the beginning. So he knows best. If He has not answered you yet, it does not mean He wouldn't, keep the faith. But even if He chooses not to. It does not change His qualification as the Great physician (Jehovah rapha). Take heart.

I know of a boy who was missing a thumb and he went to a healing service and he went up on stage. The preacher asked him if he needed anything, and the boy said that he would like to have a thumb. The preacher commanded the thumb to grow in Jesus' name. At first, nothing happened, but after about five minutes the whole audience stood up in praise and complete amazement when the boys thumb began to grow!!!!! It grew all the way out to normal length, but it had no fingernail! So they commanded a fingernail to grow, and guess what happened...a fingernail grew, but it had a strange blue glow around it. It just kept growing and growing until it finally curled under. Then the next day the boy came back to church and the fingernail was gone. I don't think he ever grew a fingernail after that, but I'm not sure. But the thumb remained!!! This is an absolutely true story, and I know a lot of other people who have been healed of all sorts of diseases, including me. God does grow out amutees, but so many Christians nowadays don't believe in God's healing, and if you don't believe then it won't happen. I also know a person who went to a Charles and Frances Hunter service to learn about healing the sick, and the first person he laid hands on had no eyeball. When he laid hands on him, an eyeball formed in his head.

Christians will tell you, because they are not true christians or they dont truely believe that God will heal them, or some other BS like that.
But its really one of the biggest proofs that God does not exist.
Because if this all powerful Omnipotent God existed that could do everything mentioned in the Bible (both Old & New Testments) including raisng people from the dead, then he could certainly regrow amputated or deformed limbs.
So far that has NEVER happened.
Another injury that has NEVER been healed either is anyone who was paralyzed after breaking their necks.
Thinking of Joni Eareckson Tada - she's been in a wheelchair since she broke her neck in 1967.
The answer to your question is that God doesnt heal because God does NOT exist.

Every day I contemplate my place in this universe. Must people do. It.s so obvious to me what it is. But yet I look at the world around me and thing of the many different countries I have been to and realize were all the same. That is we are the same specie.(although some may disagree). We have the same needs to survive and maintain our homogienus. In other words our existence depends on how and what we do together, for eachother.
There are vast numbers of unique and different cultures on this Earth. Their belief is as different as well. What I see from your question has alot to do about you. The reason I see this is because you have a concept of what God is that is taught through Christianity. This country my friend is Christain dominant. What I am saying is, our culture, our law's and our view towards the rest of the world is influenced by this system.
Your question reflects the Christian concept of God. Take a good look at all the turmoil in the world and ask yoursef, Is my God the same as everyone elses? If you answer yes or no your correct. However, asksome one else, and they may differ, considerably as I do. Why is there a difference? Or is there? I think not.
People have wraped themselfves into believing what their taught.
This is the homogienicity of cultures. By everyone being on the same page. And that page is taken as truth. This aspect of humanity is why we are still here. Wether right or wrong, we agree and therefore we are a part of the whole.
To answer your question. My truth is not on faith. It's on the reality of the physical laws that makes us three dimentional. As well as giving us brains. We are as physicial as our environment, from hence we came. God does not exist in this three dimentional realm. I do believe in God and I do know I am.
We here have the ability to convert matter into energy. ie. light a candle the wick and wax combined with heat and oxygen produce a flame. That's the entropic energy bieng released from the candle. It's converted into heat = energy.
Math tells us that this process can go the other way, energy into matter. However we do not know why this does'nt occur in the natural world. Except on T.V.
My point is we are limited as to our ablitiy to comprehend what is beyond this realm. So we use tools like math to give us understanding outside our senses, taste, sight, touch smell, sound. We know there are perhaps infinite possibilities of the true universe.
To make it simple, God does not exist here with us in the physical. He is not flesh ,hence, made of matter. So you might say he exists in a state of energy. Pure energy that is aware.
He cant manipulate the physical. But we can! You cant make a replacement leg to grow again by magic.
There has to be some technological intercessiton with our DNA to turn on this gene to make a leg. Only the physical can affect the physical. Because our design says we only grow legs in the woumb. And God as well must obey the physical laws as we do!
Selah
Those false prophets you see on T.V. saing God saith this God saith that. Not real.
And they say God is talking to me right now and your being healed. I'ts B.S. to get you money. That's the distructiveness of religion. God can indeed communicate with you. But don't look for him through taught way's. You'll never find him.
It gets you to believe

I think the only answer can be that God doesn't place physical healing as a priority in this life, whether healed or not, life is very temporary, therefore the most important thing is the healing of the soul, or salvation, as that will last for an eternity.

After reading through all the other replies, i feel inclined to reply to this question. God is an all-knowing God. He works in mysterious ways, and not all His ways are made known to us. I do not doubt for a minute that God is able to restore an amputated limb. Afterall, He raised a whole being from the dead(many accounts of this in the bible, and I have also witnessed God's ressurection power in this lifetime), so why can he not resotore a mere limb? Remember the account of Ezekiel in the bible(Ez chapter 37)? God restored a valley full of dry bones and made them into a full army!! After saying this, let me also add that its up to God's descretion the reason why he would not (not could not!) restore in your situation if you've asked Him in total faith, not wavering. He sees beyond what we see and He knows what's best for us. W should also remember that God is not a magician who is interested in public shows and crowd-drawing. There is nothing impossible for God to do. The fact that He has not done it does not imply that he cannt do it.
Rest assured in the fact that God cares about you, with or without your limb. The fact that he has not restored your limb doesn't mean that he cares less about you. He loves you - and did, even before you loved him!

God is a fictional character in many ancient middle eastern tales and legends. Fictional characters do not have any healing powers.
PeterPan , Horray Potter or Bilbo the Hobbit dont heal either.

Because amputated limbs are dead. They don't get healed. To restore an amputated limb goes against the biological and physical laws that govern the human body. To heal cancer patients or any other disease is natural and miraculous healing works in conjunction with the healing mechanisms inherent in the body.

Peace!
God can heal amputees if he wants to. Jesus demonstrated this power when he reattached the ear of a Roman solider. (Luke 22, 51) In fact, he did more than that. He restored dead people to life
