In other words should we start the panic?

Global warming will not kill us all in some kind of sudden event. In the latter half of this century it will make life difficult for many people on the planet. Small islands will be gradually swallowed by the sea, many areas will become desserts, and there will not be enough fresh water. The weather will become unpredictable with severe temperatures at both ends of the scale. Basically, we've made the world a crappy place for our grandchildren. Well done humanity.

Global warming may not destroy our society for well over one hundred years;
but it will.
The efforts to restore our planet started about twenty years too late.
Don't panic though.
The galciers won't melt in our lifetime.
