I understand that they get their full tails at age 3. I am want to know when they start growing their "antennas" or crests, and at what age do the males begin to grow blue body feathers?

My babies got theirs before a year old. They are blue indian males. At a year old, they have beautiful showing of blue irridescence on their necks and backs, and they have little crowns.

Hope that helps...

When they are three they will have the tail feathers they are known for. The feathers begin growing when they are about two and a half and will not reach their full capacity until the age of four or sometimes even five.
