someone that they have a buger (sp!) almost sticking out from their nose?? and what would you say so that they do not get embarrased?

It's best to whisper to them within close range that they need to clean their nose. There is no way of them not being embarrassed because that unfortunately comes regardless but how you say it makes a difference and just the fact that you cared enough to say it would make them feel better.......

The first thing I'd probably do is rub my nose to get their attention - it's nonverbal, and subtle enough to not make that person feel too uncomfortable.

If that didn't work, honestly, I'd simply pass them a Kleenex.

It may be blunt, but truth be told, I'd rather have someone be blunt with me than not tell.

Yes, I've done both in the past, and in neither incident was the other party embarrassed in the slightest.

In private, so nobody else around can hear, just say something like, "You have a little something by your nose." and gesture of wiping your nose at the same time. Completely polite, and they'll probalby be appreciative that you mentioned it.

Say it so no one else notices. Its like a guy forgets to zip up after going to the loo. You just go up to them and say it softly and shield them while they zip up.

Yell, "Hey, mister, you got a big booger in your nose!" like my son did in a department store one day. LOL God, ain't kids great?

i would pick it for them, then force them to eat it for being so dirty.
