The problem with it is where are you going to put all the equipment? To do a lowrider you'll need 2 hydraulic tanks and several batteries. You'll also need a bigger motor to carry the weight of all of it and a beefier suspension A mustang II just doesn't have the trunk space, the motor, or the suspension to stand up to it. This is the reason most lowriders are built using 1959 to 1970s Impalas, mid `70s Monte Carlos, or pick-up trucks.

Don't do a hydrualics..use Air ride and you can adjust the ride height plus keep a classic muscle car stance...the car already sits low...are'nt you scared of messing up the under carriage by putting it on 14's or 13's...I would try to put 16's in the front and 17's on the back...use Koni and Eibach for shocks and coil overs...those hydrualic tricks usually result in costly repairs to the suspension...with Air ride ..you can lift it and pancake when you park...3 wheel motion is cool but this car is'nt sturdy enough for that abuse..you need a GM G-body...late 70's to late 80's Cutlass, Regal, or Monte Carlo but the best car for this is a Chevy Impala 59 to even 96....The best Ford lowriders are the Thunderbirds 1977 to the mid 90's...even the Lincoln towncars from 79 to present day are a better choice...you don't know anything about lowriding, mayne...you need a big body!!!

The Best way to convert a 74 Mustang into a lowrider is to Buy the Smallest wheels Possible and then buy the lowest Profile tire you can get.

Why? it would want to be a lot more straightforward to purchase a Mustang II with the 302 already in it - many more effective of those are nevertheless round than those with the 4 & V6s, besides. you'll finally end up putting thanks to a lot time & money into this challenge than it really is unquestionably worth - trust me. Been there, finished that to a 'seventy six Mustang II, swapped the V6 for the V8. It change right into a substantial headache, then I gave up on all the hassles and offered a 1979 Mustang Ghia with the 302 already in it. sturdy determination! force the 'Stang they way it really is & keep up your $$$ for this is repacement.

please don't do this. Here's why, The front end (suspension) is more valuable than the whole car. Hot Rodders and general restorers look for them. Put it up for sale and buy something else. You will probably make quite a bit if you put it on Ebay.
