What happens, happens, whether you believe it will or not. Scriptures give a very clear picture. The Almighty knew that we would be eager to understand the answer to that question and so He made it clear. After man dies he knows nothing, it is like a long sleep. Then there is a Judgment. A person is not there in the flesh, but the Almighty judges his works. After being judged, all are resurrected either with the righteous to eternal life, or with the wicked to be finally destroyed in the lake of fire which is the purification of this earth, when the Almighty cleans this earth with fire to remove sin and sinners, so He can make all things new.

after burying many and at least hearing about some exhumations and even viewing king tut I can with some degree of certainty say you rot and decay and those who elect cremation go to ashes .
If you think they're dying to get in the funeral homes I guess your laboring to a point beyond humor.one part of the bible I can attest to besides the god thing is from dust to dust when you examine the life cycle from biological terms it makes perfectly good common sense just sprinkle your ashes in the garden and you will be recycled in the vegetables literally eaten by future survivors.

God's existence doesn't depend on your belief in Him any more than your existence is dependent upon my belief in you. However, God says we are without excuse.
For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. -Romans 1:20
Those that die in their sins without accepting Christ will be judged justly and fairly for their violations against God's laws (if you've broken even just one, you are guilty - we are all guilty - I'm as guilty as they come). Sadly, for those who have rejected Jesus and His atoning sacrifice that paid the debt for their sins, the Bible says they will be eternally condemned.
"Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life." -Matthew 25:46
"Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned." -Mark 16:16
"Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son." -John 3:18
Once you die, it's too late, so I urge you to "Seek the LORD while he may be found; call on him while he is near." -Isaiah 55:6

There is no single alternative. You can not believe in God but believe in reincarnation or that you go to Odin's great halls of Valhalla, or that you live on as a spirit at your family shrine, or you can believe that nothing happens you just don't live anymore.
Sorry, with beliefs it's simply not "My way or the highway".

And to everyone else: Who said this was aimed at atheists? There's more religions than Christianity/Judaism/Islam.

What do you care? If you don't believe in God then you don't believe in an Afterlife. When you die you'll find out... and it won't be a nice place to spend eternity.

life is **** then you die, and that is it...final, everything is over, and there is nothing you can do about it...be afraid, the darkness is forever, and you will never be your conscious self again. everything is finished, everything you had is nothing, and you are nothing, from dark back to dark, with a burst of light in the middle, like a spark. You will probably not be remembered, and your family will die, meaning you are nothing even in the memory of the living. Leaving you a nothing in nothing. Have a nice weekend

they will take my carcass, lay it upon a platform on a Rocky cliff, and the volchers will take turns feeding on my flesh, this will be the last gift i can give back to mother earth. mean while my spirit will wait and return to the earth in a new form.in less the master of all things calls on my to fight the evil ones that wish to destroy the great spirit of the earth. in that case i will become one of the four winds. in other words i have a good idea but its not up to me the master will decide what he will use me for.

There is a God. In your brain there are 100 billion neurons. Each one of those neurons(remember, there's 100 billion of them) is connected to 1000 other neurons. That comes out to 100 trillion connections in your brain. These connections send electronic signals(and you can measure the electricity) from one place to another. If part of the brain is damaged and you lose some function that is controlled by that part of the brain, the brain can actually re-wire itself and let other neurons in the undamaged part of the brain take over so that you can get back that function. That's only the connections in the brain, not the rest of the body.
Our bodies also have tons of information in the DNA. You have enough information in your DNA to fill encyclopedia sized books stacked from here to the moon and back 500 times. Do you really think that came about by just random chance........kind of like a monkey typing out the works of Shakespear just by randomly plucking away at the keys?
You need to step back and look at the big picture of what is being claimed by atheism(and its partner evolution), namely, that the unbelieveable complexity of the human brain(not to mention the rest of the body) is nothing more than re-arranged pond scum. It’s pond scum from the original prebiotic soup re-arranged over billions of years into 100 trillion connections in the brain by luck…..just random chance.

the point is that you wont know your dead, because your dead. time, space, existence will simply not exist. You wont die then go to hell and think, b*llocks, i should listened to that jesus bloke. You wont be able to think about anything, like when you are asleep, people will argue that we dream but we certainly wont when we die. The light will just get switched off and you will cease to exist, thats why it is important to lead a full and happy life while we have the chance.
