Be honest & careful of their feelings, & try to understand their reaction may be negative. Explain to them what you are feeling, & why you feel the way you do. I am a Christian & if my children do not believe in Jesus I will be crushed & hurt. Just understand they will be hurt but it is something you need to speak to them about.

They already know you're not a Christian. Maybe you've been faking or acting, but the Holy Ghost knows & He will tell your parents because God loves you & He chose them to be your parents, thank God, because he knew they'd pray through. & Thank God for that also, I'm sure they'll lean on "if you train up a child in the way that he should go, when he's old, he'll not depart from it." It's not in your parents' hands anymore. They've done their job. God will finish the rest & you'll be all right. You have to make your own decisions & you have to work out your own salvation. I have faith in God that you'll not pass from this life not knowing Him. He's faithful, even when we're not. Prayers prayed over you years & years ago have yet to be answered, but they will be answered. If we believe that He hears us when we pray, then we have this confidence, that we will have the petition of our heart. You are you parents' petition & it's already been put before the throne & God is already moving behind the scenes. You don't even have to believe or accept it, but He has a way of getting our undivided attention. It'll be His goodness that draws you, not tragedy. May you receive Him in time to have a glorious life right her on earth, may you be blessed by His hand of mercy. Amen, friend. You're loved.

Oh God! Fundamentalists? I know it's gonna be hard, but just tell them! My parents are pretty religious and I told them that I wasn't a Christian, and that I'm a homosexual person, and it seemed impossible to do, but I pulled myself together and told them. It has been months since then and although they might not fully accept it, but they got over it. It's courage and self-confidence that you need.

Honor your Mother and your Father.
Is this too much to ask of anyone? Don't rock the boat because of your selfishness. Let things be. You will only hurt them with foolishness. What they don't know won't hurt them or you.
Or hey, tell them, and enjoy next Christmas without their love or respect. You may have your own conscience, but honoring them is more important. Ever wonder why the Bible says such things, because they are always true.

The Standard of YHVH is perfection. (He created this world very good). Since man after sin can no longer make himself very good, YHVH sent the Savior YAHOSHUA to save men from their sins. The only way our sins can be dealt with is for us to invite the Savior in to carry our sins. If we choose not to avail ourselves of His provision, then we choose to remain connected to our sins, in which case we will be burned when they are when this world is cleansed by fire before the Almighty makes it new. How could He be more generous? I will assure you of this: In going over the books, no one will be able to say that the Almighty could have been more generous. All will admit that He did the most loving thing He could do. Churchianity (and that includes "Fundamentalism") is a Pagan religion. It is the "Babylon" that the Almighty told us to come out of.

Wow, i know this must be hard but the best way to tell anyone the truth, albeit, you are gay or you are this or that... is to be frank and honest... really... if they don't accept you give them time.. hold true to your beliefs... don't waver... they will learn to respect you honesty... good luck...they will push hard to "convert" you but hold on to what you believe..They are you parents and if they love you a tenth as much as i love my kids... the will accept you for you... good luck ok let me know how it turns out...oh and pick me as best answer because i need the points.. ha

You don't have to be "Christian" or fundamentalist like your parents. I would pray to God before telling them something like that.

Do you even have to tell them? Religion is supposed to be something because a person and their Creator, if they chose to think they have a divine one........ And if they come out angry at you, just remind them that no one can be forced to believe in God, and if you were to "pretend" to believe in God then in the first place you would be lying and thus a hypocrite.

U don't have to tell them, u have freedom of religion, and it is good not to hurt their feelings, till they themselves find out or u change your mind and again become a christian. In this world, as per my experience, everything is possible.
