I am microwaving a burrito at 300 for 10-20 minutes. Should I use a plate to put it on?

When am I supposed to use plates in the oven and when am I not supposed to?

Whoops, I said microwaving... I meant just cooking in oven.

use whatever you want, just make sure it's not metal and that it is a microwave oven/oven safe item. it should say if it is on the bottom of the dish.

first of all are you sure you have the cooking instructions right 10-20 Min's. for a burrito in the microwave, don't think so. Anyway some plates get very hot in the microwave, when the food heats up that interns heats the plate up , if you have to yous a plate yous a plastic one, and when the food is at the right temp. transfer it to a normal one. but if you are doing a combination of both, then that a hole different answer.

If you're talking about a plate cover what you're cooking, then you should use one anytime you want you food not to get dry. You can also use plastic foil or put a little glass of water in the microwave. That's for pasta, rice and everything in sauce.
For your burrito I think it wouldbe better to just leave it without anything on top!
Bon appétit!

No, don't put plates in the oven - they will probably break. Use an oven dish or silver foil.

You can use a plate whenever you want, as long as it isn't metal. Don't put tin foil in there either.
