i have two under age children and im trying to find out how much i should receive on them one is 5 and one is 7

you get a dependent deduction of $3,300 per child. this is a deduction that reduces your income.

child tax credit is $1,000 per child. if you have daycare expenses, you can also get a childcare credit of up to $600. these tax credits offset any tax you owe.

I don't think that its the same per state... In CA we get back $1000 per child under the age of 17.

I believe the current credit is $3500 per child.
