Why would you want a baby with someone who doesn't? Why not get married first?

If you love your boyfriend, you should also love his son and want what is best for the family. He will likely be ready to try for another baby once you are married and the 3 year old has started school.

As your username connotes, ur indeed confused. Well, that's for now. Take more space and time to think and consider your feelings right now. It's difficult to start your own family if the guy is not ready bcoz that's a consensual decision.

Enjoy life to the fullest. You can find a lot of interesings guys out there. Always remember that regrets comes late.

Good luck. I care for you.

If you can't come to some agreement on this, maybe you should rethink the relationship. His son isn't the only consideration. I have to agree with the others. You should get married first, but I understand that not everyone does it that way. If you can't agree, maybe you should move on.
I don't think you are being unfair, but I don't think your boyfriend is deliberatly being unfair either.
Have you talked to him about the fact that you don't think he's being fair to you?

Well, unfortunately you are being unfair. His obligation is to the child he already has, and I applaud him for that! That just shows how wonderful he is! He probably also realizes that a child needs a stable family, so maybe he wants to wait until he is married and truly ready to add on to his family.
If you don't want to "wait", perhaps he isn't the one for you.

I think getting married before you have kids is a good idea so at least when you and your boyfriend have kids then the children will have a mother and father..

Whats wrong with getting married first? Make sure he truely loves you and is prepared to commit to you before bringing children into the world.
