A person I really like and respect likes me, but not as much as I like her. She keeps giving excuses for not expanding the realtionship. We have even discussed furthering our relationship, however each time the subject comes up, she says not now, but later. What is the respectable thing to do?

Its her easy way of telling you she is not intrested! Because if she was she would be moving forward with you! As much as it sucks, ditch the girl and stay friends, and if its meant to be, its meant to be, but atleast if you cut it off you will save some ego!

good luck!

A good relationship will expand on it's own. Focus more on the experience. Don't worry about discussing it.

The respectable thing to do would be to appear patient, but secretly u should continue your attack, maybe subtly. Use every chance u get to further the attack, and think of new ways to flatter her, compliment her, woo her, and work your way into her heart. Once u have entered her heart, step back and enjoy as she starts chasing u.

just let her be. she might be going through a hard time or has a lot of things on her mind.

if you really like her, tell her that you'll be worth it and that she won't regret it. but if you tell her that you gotta prove it.
