That's absolutely right!!! People can rush into things they aren't ready for. That's also when STDs, AIDS, and unwanted babies come along. It's too sad when innocent children are born into the world with a hard life because their parents weren't ready for them. Sex is a special thing that should be treasured. I wish more people thought that way. Also, because I'm a Christian I think that it's God's plan to be married first. It should bring you closer to your spouse. My brother is now a Christian, but had a child that way. He really regrets not waiting. He loves his son, but now life is much harder. It's not fair to my nephew.

Actually, back in the day, the "boyfriend" had women that he messed with but the "girlfriend" had to be pure. Not exactly fair is it. As times changed women realized that they didn't have to put up with the one sidededness of it and began to act freely as men and eventually it didn't matter whether a couple was married or not. Realistically it didn't matter if they knew each others names or not from the 60's on to today. It's just a MUTUAL thing now. Men could have many encounters and he's a stud but if a woman did the same thing she's tarnished and is called trash. Imagine a runaround man demanding a virginal wife!! Things NEEDED to change and they did. Not ALL men were out indulging of course but it was considered as a right of passage for a teenaged boy to go to a ho. Some people still do that you know?

Yes, in a perfect world, but if husband and wife do not have any sexual chemistry and don't know each other sexually what are they supposed to do. In addition, if they do discover the sexual chemistry, but it is not compatible, what then do they do? Logically, you can't leave something this important to chance on your wedding night.

Many committed couples (gfs and bfs) realize this and make every attempt to discover the universal life force in another person without getting hung up in he morality of what is involved.

We make our own choices with as much an open mind as possible so that our choices are the best for all involved. In a marriage, love is not enough.

Based on 2005 census - for the first time ever, the number of unmarried women exceeded 50%.

As of then 51% of women are now unmarried - either single, living in unmarried relationships, or divorced and dating...

Marriage has been dying in America for the last 40 years...

Kind of sad...

I've been with my boyfriend for over a year and I do not regret sleeping with, nor would I regret it if we were to break up, because I am in love with him and I trust him. I think marriage is simply a symbol and in today's world it doesn't mean much anyway. The relationship I have with my boyfriend is very intimate and trusting and even if I don't end up marrying him, I will still cherish the love that we had.

Did you just step off the Mayflower, or are you a virgin trying to make sense of things you have only heard and read about? Life is about experiences; the more you have, the better you handle the rest when they get to you...good luck!

I think thats a load of crap basically. Sex or making love for a better term is for two people who love each other and want to be together as one person.

I know you're wrong. But, everyone can have their own opinions. If something feels good and you feel a connection with someone, I say go for it. Just don't go sleeping around with every person you see.
