I already leave all my lights on when I am home, but I want to be more wasteful and start leaving them on all the time even when I am not home.

That can happen if the wires heat up and result in short circuit. Otherwise there is almost no chance of that causing fire.
Plz save energy. ;)

Leaving the lights on may make a very tiny increase in the probability of a fire starting. Statistically, fires are not very common and fires started by lights, even rarer. Bad wiring would be a bigger worry.

it shouldn't cost fires, but u shuld save more eletricity cuz it does contribute to global warming.. but it is a security reason dat u shuld leave at least one light on wen no one's home, so thieves might think people are home and won't try to break in.. i dont kno which neighbor you leave in, but over in my neighboor, a lot of people leave the light on to be safe.

If you leave them on for weeks on end. You have to turn off your lights to go to sleep, so my answer is no.
