THE DARKER THE BETTER

2007-02-01 19:26:09 · answer #1 · answered by Anonymous · 1 1

a small intake of natural sugars from fruits is the best. a diet high in any form of sugar is going to effect levels of blood lipids which is not good. different sugars effect the metabolism in different ways. like fructose is metabolized using a non-insulin dependant pathway so it doesn't effect insulin levels the same way that glucose based sugars do. but it also gets converted easier to a lipid than any other type of sugars. all sugars are not created equal

sugar is sugar. It is calories. carbohydrate. Sucrose. Honey.

It doesn't matter if its white, brown, crystal or Demerara.
It's all the same nutritional value.

actually, that is easy. use honey. it is natural, and has a great taste! I use honey in all kinds of recipies that call for sugar, and use it quite frequently in tea, and coffee. It has also been known to help ease allergies (but they say it is better to try to get honey made in your region)quite natural, and tasty!
