It will depend on the sensitivity of the sensor. Some people have been in car accidents at 5 mph and it deployed and some people at 40 mph and it didn't. I think it's around 20-25 mph.

in a 5 mph impact your airbags shouldn't deploy. Anything over 5 mph and most likely they will. this is not always true as some cars have been know to deploy airbags with a minor bump to the front bumper. It also requires that the impact hit one of the sensors to deploy the airbags. It is possible to hit a pole, with impact between the sensors, and not deploy the airbags.
