I just got one online from FREECREDITREPORT.COM took me five minutes they want a credit card number but you have 30 days to cancel and no charge for the continued service and even then it's only 12 bucks a month.

http://www.annualcreditreport.com is where you can get your free report. You have to pay for the scores though.

One easy way is to call a mortgage company, and tell them you want to see if you can buy a house. Almost all will run a credit report at their own cost. And most will give you a copy if you want. But, this is a hard pull on your credit, and will drop your scores a bit. Buying your score online from the site above doesn't hurt your credit, as it knows that you aren't inquiring about credit.

You can't get a credit score for free, but you can get a report.

This is the only site where you can get it for free, without having to use a credit card, and without having to sign up for anything:

Fill out the form online and you'll get your report almost immediately.

A: The three nationwide consumer reporting companies have set up a central website, a toll-free telephone number, and a mailing address through which you can order your free annual report. To order, click on annualcreditreport.com, call 1-877-322-8228, or complete the Annual Credit Report Request Form and mail it to: Annual Credit Report Request Service, P.O. Box 105281, Atlanta, GA 30348-5281. The form is on the back of this brochure; or you can print it from ftc.gov/credit. Do not contact the three nationwide consumer reporting companies individually. They are providing free annual credit reports only through annualcreditreport.com, 1-877-322-8228, and Annual Credit Report Request Service, P.O. Box 105281, Atlanta, GA 30348-5281. You may order your reports from each of the three nationwide consumer reporting companies at the same time, or you can order your report from each of the companies one at a time. The law allows you to order one free copy of your report from each of the nationwide consumer reporting companies every 12 months. I know how you feel; you will be successful now.

This is the one the government required the credit companies to establish. No 'monitoring' fees are with it.
