But you give your answer anyway knowing it is the best answer? You know you won't be chosen best. But should you give the person a star just for asking such a good question anyway?

That, My Dear Sweet Betty Boop, is being true to yourself! Sometimes things just need to be said, yes?

Sometimes, truth is not what the asker is seeking ... they just want agreement.

I do that, I give the best answer I feel is approprate for the question. My percentage is therefore quite low because well, I tell the truth, and frankly as much as people long for truth when the mirror is actually cleaned and put before them they hate what they see sometimes. There is not much you can do about that. Some of my answers I would not have even voted for because someone had a better answer. Sometimes I will note this in the comments box. I think it's about seeking out the best answer not necessarily the one you wanna hear.

What is / is not the best answer is entirely perspective in nature, according to the value which the asker holds in the given answer.

If someone answers a question, knowing that their answer is not of enough quality to be ranked as "the best", then that person still deserves credit for taking time out of their life to answer someone's question.

Regardless if one thinks their answer will / will not be chosen as the best - asserting effort to help someone else is a noble act for anyone.

It is not about the reward but instead about the fact that help is being offered in the first place. How bad would one feel if no one at all ever even bothered to provide as much as a wise crack for an answer?

THIS solutions ARE particularly OFFENSIVE. you probable in no way met I serb, yet study or heard something so which you think of that is real.. do a sprint analyze until now you call somebody sh*thead. no longer ALL SERBS ARE undesirable. we are no longer prosperous as a rustic, yet we've prosperous lifestyle and history and not ALL women human beings have implants, in basic terms some ''celebrities'' that no-one particularly likes. And the croatia-serbia conflict element - no person is innocentin a conflict!

I always tell someone the truth, despite what they may want to hear. I only star a question if I want to refer to it easily later, that it is interesting.

Rofl. When it comes to religion, it can be. Still, I try not to be too abrasive when I want to give a serious answer here because I don't want my ideas to be discarded because of it. But yeah, it's lot of fun at times. XD
