when i buy milk cartons, they are normal and not expired.

But two days after i put them in my fridge, they look bloated but the expiry date is still one week away. There's nothing wrong with my fridge...is it safe to drink?

Milk carton bloated may due to change in temperature in an environment. Maybe, you travel a long way home from the place you purchased it. It could be contaminated by other raw food, uncook fish or seafood, if it is not carefully seal after each consuming. Buy 1carton each time, if drinking amount is low. If in doubt, confront with the seller by bringing along your purchase receipt & milk to the place you purchased.

Don't drink that milk as it is already spoilt. Not only for milk, if you buy products that are in tetra pack or in cartons, if it has bloated discard it right away even if it has not yet expired. I used to drink packet drink that has bloated but it is still a year from its expiry date. The result is i am down with food poisoning. As an advice, better get food products that their expiry date is more than 1 month.

I recommend that you should stop using things with the expiry at least one month ahead especially the eatable stuff. You should not use that carton....

That milk was probably not stored properly before you bought it. Usually products will be good well past their printed dates: those dates (on milk) are "sell by". not "use by". I routinely use milk well beyond (~1 week) the printed date (but bought well before it). Get your milk from another store.
