How comes any animal or insect thats not normally on an international menu supposedly tastes like CHICKEN? they say frogs legs taste like chicken, kangaroo tastes like chicken, crocodile and snake tastes like chicken.
Why not just eat chicken? wouldnt it be much easier? also, if most things taste like chicken why does turkey taste like turkey? its just a big chicken right?

Turkey's not a big chicken it's a whole different bird! everything tastes like chicken because unless you buy a really good chicken it doesn't taste much of anything, just a bit nondescipt, ever tried describing to say, a lifelong vegetarian what chicken tastes like? hard work.

At present all these are tastes same as all of these animals are brought up in farms. And in farms every thing is fed processed food. The taste of animals differs mainly because of their food habit. Here in farm all the animals eats same thing so they tastes similar.
If you can catch hen, snake, kangaroo from any forest they would taste differently. That chickens will also be different than the chicken taste you know.

i think you would be hopping mad to eat fogs legs and kangaroo meat,crocodile tastes like a fish i think its called a sapper, and a snake has a little bit to it. No all joking aside frogs legs do taste like chicken, kangaroo has quite a Strong flavor which you have to acquire a taste for, and i have not tried crocodile or snake yet

Whenever I ask my Thai Wife what some disgusting thing she is eating tastes like she always says that!
Incidentally, some Chicken doesn't taste of anything!
