I still think about her and stuff, but I'm not huring or anything. But I'm just not interested in any girls right now, which is weird because I'm in my freshman year of college, and it's a whole new batch...has anyone experienced this?

You won't be interested in any new girls until the right one comes along that expresses interest in you. It's as it should be. You can still date, however. And it improves your chances of meeting the next one. Just don't take the whole process too seriously. It's all normal stuff.

Oh, and don';t take advice from girls/women on when to get back into the dating ritual: how often do they have to ask men/guys out? See my point? They never have risked rejection or had to be secure and confident to get a date with somebody... who they might not even be excited about dating initially. The point is to get out there, practice your wit, your charm, build your confidence and communication skills, and become a fun person to go on a date with:)

I broke up with my gf in Oct. and I feel the same way except we are best friends now but, to me it seems like she does not want me to date anyone else so it makes it really easy for me not, so yea i know what you mean, its an odd feeling, to me atleast, sometimes i wish it was not there at other times I am glad it is. I am also a Freshman in college.

same thing is going on with my ex. only he is 30. he did not appreciate me i got married and moved on with my life now he is feeling the pain. it is normal to feel this way. it is a good thing that you get her all out of your system because it is NOT fair to start something new with another woman if you still have feelings for the other girl. good luck to you and make sure that you take your time.

Broken hearts mend at different rates. If you're not feeling dating right now, don't. Wait until your subconcious says, "hey, ask that girl out." It will, when you're ready. Don't pay attention to what you "should" be feeling just because you're a college freshman. Feel what you DO feel and let it be.

You will never forget her, but you will move on. Not being interested in girls sounds like depression. You might want to get that checked out.

You most likely still need to take it slow, and perhaps in your heart your just not ready for another relationship yet focus on other things for now

Don't worry about her, go on with your life. Think of school and your goals in life first, you have plenty of time to start thinking about girls. Be smart, put education first.
