Is the dream state and the astral plane the 'real life'. can your souls die in a dream?

How could your soul die? How could we consider ourselves "real" if we could be destroyed? The truth has no opposite, it only seems to, but a lie by definition is not real. So only truth is real and only truth exists (lies are illusion with no substance). If you are alive, you are truth. You are real and your life can have no opposite, therefor you cannot be destroyed. The body may seem to be destroyed, but how could the soul? Which leads me onto my second point. That if the body could be destroyed that makes it unreal, because the real can have no opposite and therefor life, being real, can have no opposite.

What we think of as life is actually the dream and dreams are only dreams within the dream. Reality and awakening is the end of dreaming, as dreams are illusion, and therefor not reality.

I've always pondered God and our existence b/c I find it fascinating and I never lost hope I'd find a definite answer. A year ago I found a book that put into words all the things I'd thought about who God is, who we must be, and the purpose/nature of our existence. It's called "The Disappearance of the Universe" by Gary Reynard. If you give the book a shot you might find the answer(s) you're looking for. The preceeding paragraphs were just a bit of the philosophy contained within the book. You can read an excerpt online:

A deep thinker!
the answer is no. It is a nice thought to think all this misery called life is a nightmare though. Would be real nice at times.
No, it has not been proven you can die in a dream.

I have heard it stated once that when we're asleep we are in a form of death, whereas when we sleep we hear nothing going on around us. Some wake up and some don't.

Put down the pipe my man. There is no such thing as magic or god. There is no such thing as good and evil. There is no such thing as a alternate reality. You die and the are lowered into the ground end of story.
