Do Americans realise how serious of a threat Islam is to Western philiosophy? Not christianity, but fundemental freedom, Islam is a religon of hieghten social status for the muslim. All poeple of the book ( Jew and Christians ) are a protected / guilty social status that must tolerate a daily dosage of humiliation. Such acts as rape of thier wives as they watch, beatings, special taxes, all this exist under sharia for non muslim "poeple of the book". All others, athiest, buddhist, hindu...they are required to be slain. How can americans sit idly by and be fed false information from feminist and Secular progressive about the glory of islam?

Islam is a religon spread by the sword, Islam is the only way to heaven. In truth the brutal way Muslims treat others is out of love. treat the harshly and they will turn to islam to avoid hell. I am not a believer in any religion, but i have study the three major religons as they have made massive impacts on the western world. Christianity does not call for war. Never does the "Christ" call for violence towards anyone, in the end thier is violence in Christianity from God to men, and it is worse then anything i read in any other religon but "christ" instructs his believers to be passive and not betray his name. Well, there seem to be two aspects of this. One is classic Islam, which can be a perfectly reasonable religion--at least as reasonable as any of the others, which stretches the point considerably.

A lot of the beheading and rape business is Bedouin tribal law that dates from two thousand years before Mohammed ever picked up a book. Matter of fact, that's why he started the faith: he wanted his Arab brothers to behave themselves in a manner pleasing to the Lord, and for the most part they did--except for the guys like the Taliban, who never quite made it in from the desert.

The problem is that the whole structure of the Arab tribes, to say nothing of the Persians and the rest of the Middle East, is melting down. What we're seeing is the last attempts of the old coots to maintain control and simultaneously deny that the world has changed. For this they're willing to sacrifice an entire generation of kids.

Their fury and efficiency in military matters is undeniable, but there's no evidence that they'll convert anyone in the West. Their major military advantage was surprise: we didn't know they existed, or what they wanted. Now that's gone, they're effectively backed against a wall with nowhere to go, and we're learning to deal with them on their own territory.

I think we'll be okay. It's a shame about all the warfare, but it wasn't our idea.

Islam is a huge threat? Well, I guess if you're afraid anything can be a threat. But what excatly, are we threatened with? And what is your philosophy on the "Western Philosophy?" For some strange reason, stupid me, thought our, and I don't mean you and me, philosophy was based on the Constitution.

And remember that men rape and molest innocent women and children all over the globe and in every area of the world. Not just the sick bastards who are no more islamic than Charles Manson was Jesus Christ. Islam is not the threat. The threat is you and your ignorance. everything would be fine if we closed all bases and pulled out all troops from the arab world. the terrorist's #1 demand is that the US close all their bases in saudi arabia. that is not unreasonable, we have no right to be there in the first place.
also, you are confusing islam with terrorism. believe it or not, not all muslims are terrorists and not all terrorists are muslim.
lastly, terrorism is not much of a threat at all. the largest terrorist attack in US history, 9/11, only killed like 3000 people. we are no safer now from that type of pissant terrorism than we were before 9/11. we will be attacked and lose anywhere from 500-1000 people every 6-8 years, and i'm fine with that. sh|t happens.

Hi, I'm a muslim and I would like to clear some things.

If accordance to the laws of Sharia, theft will get both your hands cut off. Rape will get you executed. Such is the law. But then we live in a modern age so these laws are no longer practiced because to the rest of the world it seems barbaric, so alright, we're cool with that. Islam promotes that we live in peace with other people, and about that special tax thingy, that was ages ago during The Prophet's time. That time he ruled over the first Islamic state and protected it, those who were non-muslim in it had to pay special tax, because hey they were non-muslim but he protected them also.

Some people would use anything in order to justify themselves. Terrorists use religion to justify their greed and violence, George Bush use the oil thingy to justify his war, and some people use other people's violence to murder more people.
