are by Atheists. Why are they so concerned with it? Its the religion and spirituality forum. Not the non-religious forum. Maybe YA should make Atheists their own forum.
I know I am going to get a lot of sarcastic answers.

I am not saying that they don't have a right to be here. But they should respect our belief as we should respect their non-belief. However when they are sarcastic and disrespectful, well I get angry.

Atheists will fight tooth and nail and demand that they have a right to comment on religious and spiritual matters. I know several atheists who call themselves spiritual.
I think everyone has a right to be in this forum and that we have a RIGHT to disagree with them. God bless!

Tata, you must be new. The majority of the questions are not asked and answered by Atheists. It varies from day to day and night to night. If you stick around a while, you'll probably figure out "why they are so concerned with it" if you are a smart girl.
It has been asked (and answered) over and again "it's the religion and spirituality forum" .... that does NOT exclude Atheists my dear. And NO-NO-NO, YA is not going to make a separate forum for Atheists. Even if they did, the Atheists would still come to R&S because there are things that need to be said and the Atheists are just the ones to say it.
Welcome to Y!A R&S!

To be honest this is a forum whereby people ask questions expecting to get a range of answers, rather than just 'hearing what they want to hear.' You are going to get people who agree, disagree or just plain want an argument. I think if you are secure in your faith then it doesn't matter what others say, it is just their opinion, you know what you know - therefore segregating others just makes it look like you are intolerant of others and can not take any criticism.
Having said all that this is religion and spirituality - you don't have to be religious to have a question about religion not do you have to be religious to be spiritual.

Speaking for myself only, I come here to share knowledge. If I answer a question about the great flood, its not because I believe that it happened, its because I have looked at the actual archaeological evidence that discounts it as a global event. When I answer questions about abortion, its because I don't see it as a moral imperative to be dictated, but rather a one's individual choice to make. When I respond to someone who asks about an aspect of the bible, its because I've read it, and have some knowledge to share...it may be from an opposing viewpoint, but its knowledge none-the-less. At no point in time do I come here because I'm secretly searching for "the truth". I don't secretly want to know god, or Jesus. I don't want someone to pray for me. I come here to make people think, and offer up what knowledge and information I have. Take it for what it is. If it strengthens your own faith, power to you. If it makes you question something, that's great. If you've learned something to show you that the bible is, at best allegory instead of fact; that's even better.
At the end of it though, realize that this section isn't called "Validation for those with faith"; its called religion and spirituality.

Yes you probably are. After all, it's the "Religion and Spirituality" forum. Those headings include believers AND non-believers, wouldn't you say?

Tata, people who don't believe in God and don't care that they don't believe don't spend time in Yahoo Religion and Spirituality. God's arm is not so short that He cannot save to the uttermost. Whoever is on these boards, and whatever they may be saying, the fact that they are here at all is no coincidence.

Because they (we) don't understand what is different. Just like you and yours don't understand other beliefs. Most people just like to stir things up and get funny, sarcastic answers.
Kind of like your question here . . .
