It is possible for you to be in love with him but if he is happily married then the love that you feel is not going to be returned.

Yes hunny, it is very possible, but it's a waste of your time and a waste of your heart! There are plenty of available dudes out there, you might want to try to find one of them, instead of allowing yourself to have feelings for an old happily married man.
