It's scary but there you have it. They brainwash the little ones very effectively from birth. The reason they do it is that those tender years are very important in forming the mind of the adult the child will become. Faith taught at that time is almost impossible to get rid of. That is why people from one religious culture will almost always think the beliefs of others are ludicrous and cannot understand why others will think the same of theirs.

Your cousin probably told you that because his parents told him that, and they're probably on the wave of religious fervor that's been sweeping over America in the past few decades. As can be seen by all the nonchalant answers given above - "Oh hello person I don't know. Yep I don't know a thing about you, but I know for certain that you're going to hell." You're gonna have to learn to live with intolerance as long as you're doin this atheism thingy.

This god of the bible has issues. He just looses it when some soul disagrees with him. Real mean bully. If you are not with me then you are against me. Black and white. Real piece of work. But to be honest hell is not only a christian concept. It's borrowed like so many other things from more ancient religions. The separation of good guys and bad guys is lost into mythology and times past.

undemanding Christian ideals are advent, Trinity. Believing that Jesus substitute into born of a virgin, substitute into crucified and died, rose the third day and ascended into Heaven. Believers Baptism. the theory that in the time of communion, wine and bread are merely wine and bread, not authentic blood and flesh. i might look for an self sustaining, basic, Bible believing Christian Church. i'm a Baptist. look for a Church that has courses to your babies and for you. pass to a pair different churches then pray approximately them.

Your 11 year old cousin is being presumptious, because only God decides who goes to what place, after death.

Your cousin knows that, due to the original sin of our first parents, all humans need to be faithfully baptized with water, in the name of the God Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, in order to be reconciled with him,or they typically won't be allowed to enter heaven.

I'm sure you can figure out the rest.

If you're asking about Christianity, then yes by their doctrine you will burn in Hell. Unless you are formally "saved", that's where you're headed.

The child is correct.

But if you are an atheist then you don't believe in Hell so why are you concerned about it?

Why are you asking strangers why your cousin told you this, as if we all know? Ask him, he's the one that said it.

Wow. I don't have half the courage of that 11 year old kid. He told you that because, if you don't change your ways....it's true.
