I have a boyfriend for about 5 months, and i like him alot. My close guy friend has never shown anything that would prove that he likes me, but before I started dating my boyfriend and I would talk about hott guys to him, he would avoid the subject. Alot of people tell me this means hes jealous. So when we start going out with my boyfriend, my friend always wants to know what Im doing with him and whats happening 24-7! And sometimes when I sleepover at my boyfriends place, I go on webcam when I IM my friend and he always wants to know what Im doing with him. Even when I go off webcam, he wants to know where im going. Is he just nosey or does he like me?

We still IM/phone for like a gazillion hours and chill and even chill with my boyfriend. My BF is soo nice to him, and even got him backstage passes to the JT concert. He sounds like he's getting very territorial and possessive. Maybe he's one of those guys who doesn't know what they want until they can't have it (I think a lot of guys fall into this category) It's a very animalistic thing, like a dog pissing on a tree (ha ha).
He does sound jealous but it could also be that you're just not spending the same quality time with him that you used to, and he misses that aspect of your friendship. I don't think you need to ask him if he likes you, since there is no chance that you're going to drop everything for him. And asking him might be very confrontational and accusatory. He could react quite badly to it.
But I think that you can tell him gently to calm down and perhaps limit the amount of communicating you're doing with him. Just drop back a little so he gets the message to chill a bit.

I totally concur with the first answer to this question. I had a female best friend years ago and we were almost like brother and sister. The problem was she wasn't my sister, and I was attracted to her in every possible way. The feeling was mutual but we chose to suppress our attraction for each other. Needless to say we are not friends now, too much tension killed our friendship. I think your friend likes you and probably wants more out of the relationship. He is jealous because his time spent with you is being jeopardized because of your b/f. He likes you and doesn't know how to tell you. I've been through it and it is a very awkward situation. If you want male friends find gay guys. If you are even close to attractive a normal red blooded male is going to want more from you, whether he has been put in the "friend zone" by you is not relevant.

Ten commandments thought shalt not covet You dont have to really have a reason to be jealous dear, jealousy comes when somone thinks somthing is better and they want it. Perhaps your friend does want you but never acted on it or even so far to go saying that perhaps the guy is better than him and he wishes he could be like him. He has no real foundation to say the things he says, but he can be jealous of anyone he wants. Thats his choice.

The answer is obvious. He likes you. Guys are like that. If the girl he likes, he will want to know every single things about you. Just like a 'stalker' something like that. I think he is just too afraid of rejection. He is afraid that he might not like you, and think its the end of the world.He is afraid to move on.
