Family member is experiencing falling asleep all day long while sitting up..lasts for awhile 5 minutes..wakes up for 2 or 3 minutes falls back asleep. Went to Dr. all tests check out OK.. Also severe weakness in body..basic inability to function.

I used to take Lexapro, which is the same as Celexa I think. When I went off it, I was very very dizzy, and would experience little "lightning jolts" - that's really the only way to define it - it's like a flash goes off in front of your face.
Lexapro itself induces insomnia, so I think going off it can make you very tired. I didn't notice any drowsiness when I went off it, but I'm sure it affects everyone differently.

Withdrawal from any medication can be troublesome. Just give it 2-3 weeks for all of it to leave your system. After that, the withdrawal will be complete.

Never heard those symptoms. Both drugs usually make a person real drowsy when taking them. Not necessarily when being taken off.
