I think it's way beyond overrated. There are so many things in this life that can be experienced. I think we are already brainwashed to believe it's not overrated. Don't get me wrong, I'm not prude and I've had mind-blowing sex, but there are just so many aspects of life besides instant gratification. I wish more people would see this.

Honestly sex is way better when you truly love someone. Sex can be meaningless and often times very ackward. You always worry what the other person is seeing and if your doing it right. But when two people really love each other, those things don't seem to matter. Yes sex is somewhat overrated.

As long as you treat it like you're reading the directions to install a garage door opener, as your description states, then YES.
Personally, for me it's not a time to THINK, but to FEEL, so I'll have to go with NO.

Not to me, but some of the things you mentioned doesn't apply to me, like timing and insecurities. I keep it simple.
People need to realize that getting sex is really easy nowadays.

Heck no! Especially if your foreplay is great. And trust me, if more people would forget about performance issues and instead concentrate on how good it feels and how good his/her partner feels, we would all be better off.
