Hitler's name is frequently cited by Christians as another atheist mass murderer, like Stalin, Pol Pot, and Mao.
This is a bit like that old Sesame Street Game "which of these things is like the other"
All these men were megalolmaniacs who ruled with a cult of personality. All of them were responsible for millions of deaths.
Hitler however, was a Catholic. He frequently cited god and bible quotes in his speeches and his writings. His persecution of the Jews was popular among Christians as the "Christ killers" they have harassed over the ages. The Catholic church harbored Nazis and helped some escape to South America after the war.
Hitlers christianity was incidental to his being a mass murderer, as was Stalins atheism.

No,Hitler was not a Christian. He sent Christians to concentration camps along with the other so-called 'undesirables'.
These are some of his quotes:
"National Socialism and religion cannot exist together.... The heaviest blow that ever struck humanity was the coming of Christianity. Bolshevism is Christianity's illegitimate child. Both are inventions of the Jew. The deliberate lie in the matter of religion was introduced into the world by Christianity.... Let it not be said that Christianity brought man the life of the soul, for that evolution was in the natural order of things. "
"The reason why the ancient world was so pure, light and serene was that it knew nothing of the two great scourges: the pox and Christianity."
"Christianity is an invention of sick brains: one could imagine nothing more senseless, nor any more indecent way of turning the idea of the Godhead into a mockery.... .... When all is said, we have no reason to wish that the Italians and Spaniards should free themselves from the drug of Christianity. Let's be the only people who are immunised against the disease."
Hitler also refered to himself as a "complete pagan".

Hitler had his own ideas of what constituted Christianity and said he was a Christian. If you review the teachings of Jesus - and know that the term "Christian" means Christ-like, then it becomes clear that Hitler if Christian at all was so in his own mind, but not in reality.
Jesus taught his followers to turn the other cheek and to bless your enemies. What Hitler done was completely contrary to the teachings of Christ. So I ask you -was Hitler a Christian just because he said he was a Christian? Did his deeds prove he was Christian or Christ like?
A drunk in the street can say he is a Lawyer and earns a million dollars a year, but that does not make it so. Understand?

In public Hitler spoke about how he acted in the best interest in the god of the Bible but behind closed doors he insulted Christianity. Because of the latter I'm going to have to say no, he was not a Christian. He wasn't an atheist though, I've heard that he believed in multiple gods. Who really knows?
For an opposing view, here's a site that says Hitler was definitely a Christian:

How does that matter to you. Look where u life is leading to!
Instead of picking up bits and pieces of information from other peoples lives to match ur insanity and try to justify yourself.
Adolf Hitler being a Christian or not is irrespective.
Adam and Eve was in God's presense and yet CHOSE to do evil(thru temptation). they sinned too as much as Adolf Hitler or YOU and I including everyone in the UNited States/UK/the World and the likes of Osama Bin LAden!
So u cant actually say that there is no God or demon.
Where there is good there is an evil.
So stop justifying uself as being a proud atheist!

I strongly recommend that you read ch 33 of the book,
'Revelation--It's Grand Climax At Hand!", for several more details about Communism, Hitler, & the Catholic church. They were very 'chummy'. Very Deadly. ): ): ):

This is a very broad question. Atheism literally means 'without god' and since most human acts of devastation have been in the name of one god or another, this would suggest that they are less harmful than people with a religion. If you think about it in a more abstract way, atheism promotes free thinking and the choice to believe what you want without the hindrance of someone telling you what is correct without any evidence. In this way, many religions actually promote ignorance over knowledge. (The reasoning behind this lays with early society humans trying to form a manageable society that functions well together. Religion is a very effective way to do this, hence why there are so many similarities between them). So depending on what you mean by harm, in early human society atheism could have been more detrimental to the progression of the human race but in recent times (the last 150 years or so) religion is losing its place in modern society.

You tell me. Here are some quotes from Christian Hitler:
National Socialism and religion cannot exist together.... (p 6 & 7)
10th October, 1941, midday:
Christianity is a rebellion against natural law, a protest against nature. Taken to its logical extreme, Christianity would mean the systematic cultivation of the human failure. (p 43)
14th October, 1941, midday:
The best thing is to let Christianity die a natural death.... When understanding of the universe has become widespread... Christian doctrine will be convicted of absurdity.... Christianity has reached the peak of absurdity.... And that's why someday its structure will collapse.... ...the only way to get rid of Christianity is to allow it to die little by little.... Christianity the liar.... We'll see to it that the Churches cannot spread abroad teachings in conflict with the interests of the State. (p 49-52)
19th October, 1941, night:
The reason why the ancient world was so pure, light and serene was that it knew nothing of the two great scourges: the pox and Christianity.
21st October, 1941, midday:
Originally, Christianity was merely an incarnation of Bolshevism, the destroyer.... The decisive falsification of Jesus' doctrine was the work of St.Paul. He gave himself to this work... for the purposes of personal exploitation.... Didn't the world see, carried on right into the Middle Ages, the same old system of martyrs, tortures, *******? Of old, it was in the name of Christianity. Today, it's in the name of Bolshevism. Yesterday the instigator was Saul: the instigator today, Mardochai. Saul was changed into St.Paul, and Mardochai into Karl Marx. By exterminating this pest, we shall do humanity a service of which our soldiers can have no idea. (p 63-65)
13th December, 1941, midnight:
Christianity is an invention of sick brains: one could imagine nothing more senseless, nor any more indecent way of turning the idea of the Godhead into a mockery.... .... When all is said, we have no reason to wish that the Italians and Spaniards should free themselves from the drug of Christianity. Let's be the only people who are immunised against the disease. (p 118 & 119)
14th December, 1941, midday:
Kerrl, with noblest of intentions, wanted to attempt a synthesis between National Socialism and Christianity. I don't believe the thing's possible, and I see the obstacle in Christianity itself.... Pure Christianity-- the Christianity of the catacombs-- is concerned with translating Christian doctrine into facts. It leads quite simply to the annihilation of mankind. It is merely whole-hearted Bolshevism, under a tinsel of metaphysics. (p 119 & 120)
9th April, 1942, dinner:
There is something very unhealthy about Christianity (p 339)
27th February, 1942, midday:
It would always be disagreeable for me to go down to posterity as a man who made concessions in this field. I realize that man, in his imperfection, can commit innumerable errors-- but to devote myself deliberately to errors, that is something I cannot do. I shall never come personally to terms with the Christian lie. Our epoch Uin the next 200 yearse will certainly see the end of the disease of Christianity.... My regret will have been that I couldn't... behold ." (p 278)
Opps - maybe you're right. Hitler was a Christian!

NOT a Christian. Read his disgusting book Mein Kamp however you spell it. It's available online. He hated Christians and millions were killed in the Concentration camps. He just used Christians symbols to pander to weak-minded individuals who weren't Christian. He also met with the leaders of the Middle East who told him he was doing the work of Allah by destroying the "Jewish disease."
DOES THIS SOUND LIKE A CHRISTIAN, THE WORDS OF HITLER:
Each one of us today may regret the fact that the advent of Christianity was the first occasion on which spiritual terror was introduced into the much freer ancient world, but the fact cannot be denied that ever since then the world is pervaded and dominated by this kind of coercion and that violence is broken only by violence and terror by terror.
END QUOTE
And if you agree with that quote, you are agreeing with HITLER.

Good old Adolph was a product of Christianity and a believer. Yahweh would surely love him in principle despite his attempt to wipe out the Jews. Yahweh is that kind of god. But, on the other hand, to be fair, Stalin was not a believer. Your choice. Both exterminated people in impressive numbers. Actually Stalin was more prolific.
