I have no recollection of anything that has happened in the past day. I can't remember the date or day of week that it is, I cant remember any of my schedule for the day, I can't even remember where I am. Then after about 30 minutes I can recollect all these things. I feel like I'm still asleep even though I'm up. Is it normal to feel so unfunctional?

Extra Information: I'm a full time student who works part time and has a full schedule of extracurricular activities. I'm used to insomnia, its just recently that I can enjoy a full 6-8 hours of sleep.

It sounds to me like all your extracurricular activities would be hard for anyone to remember right away. I wouldn't worry about the first half hour. It's what you do with the rest of your day that matters. However, if you are truly concerned about this, then see a physician.

My daughter started sleeping through the night at 6 weeks... she started with a 6-7 hour stretch and by 12 weeks she was sleeping 8-9 hours. I would have to wake her up after 8 though, because they usually need a fresh diaper and some formula/breast milk. That is completely normal he is just starting to get in a routine now.

You might be sleep walking. In other words, you may appear to be awake, but your brain isn't completely awake yet. Or it could be a neurological condition of some sort.

In any event, this sounds serious, so I would suggest that you go and talk to a medical professional right away.
