The best solution is to call around and find the best vet for you. All vet clinics vary in price. With a cat it is much cheaper. Ask about there normal visit prices and about there flea dips. Does his eyes look slimy? If so then he might have an Upper Respiratory Infection. I would call the vet and just ask them what they think you should do and they might give you a better solution. But do try to get the cat to the vet and go to a Vet Clinic not and Animal Hospital. Animal Hospitals are way more expensive. I really hope this helps and I don't think your cat will die from this. Good luck and best wishes to your cat.

The vet may work with a rescue group that would pay for some of it, if you explain the situation. The vet may let you pay some of the bill and bill the rest later. You don't want to put your kids through this.

It should not be more than $40- 70 depending on where you live.

Be a good example to your kids : )

In Canada it will range from $35.00 to 65.00 for initial visit, of course you must add in perscriptions if needed. I have recently been fully educated in this matter as I have adopted 3 Persian Kitties recently. Watery eyes are not to be ignored, if they are filled with mucas if could reflect an infection.

Visit only will cost 20 to 30 dollars, I suppose. My German Shepherd took that much last time.

The cost depends on where you are. If you are in a country that has an animal charity try contacting them for help.
