Another "Simple Minded" Question the $400 Payment for Vista is a "Once only" Payment --- the Donation of $400 as you suggest is pointless -- of all the $Billions freely Given the result is that the More Given the More "Poor" we seem to Aquire --- Perhaps if the "Leaders" of the "Poor" stopped Stealing the vast sums "Donated" and used it for it,s intended Purpose Silly Suggestions such as the One you make would not be Required ???????

People make the mistake that they can buy their way into heaven.
There are people in the world that prey upon our guilt and take advantage of our best intentions. The admonition to give to the poor (Matthew 19:21) should be exactly that, TO THE POOR. Giving your money to a front that will consume it, is waste, and vain.

Bill Gates gives an enormous amount to charity anyway.

But personally I wouldn't pay $400 for Vista to do what I do already.

Donating money to the poor will not enhance my computation ability. Buying Vista probably would. End of story.

I just donated a brand new copy of Vista to a poor, homeless geek, who had an outdated operating system on his notebook computer.

Are you happy now?

Hell no, I am not buying it. I will either pirate it or continue using Linux. As for the $400, it goes to me. I can not feed the poor lest I become one of them.

People usually justify it with " They would only buy food and eat it - then it would be gone!"

My new VISTA in the computer will last me years!

YUK, but true.

Hey, yeah. Get off the computer, give the poor your internet connection fee! Oh, ooops sorry. You're pointing the finger elsewhere......
