I got my earlobe pierced about 6 weeks ago and last night I noticed a bump on the backside of my earlobe that is very tender and soar. It is right on the outside of the hole and rubs against the backing of the earring. I clean my earring still with the stuff I was given at the shop and have also used peroxide recently due to there being a little bleeding and puss discharge. I sleep on that side so I assumed that's why it was taking so long to heal. I have never taken out the earring that they pierced my ear with and I believe I picked the gold earring.

Any information or help would be great.
Thanks!!

Try using rubbling alcohol 70%.

It could be a pimple or an infection.

If my ears feel like they are becoming infected I use just rubbing alcohol and they feel better in a few days.

It sounds like it was infected. I just saw a patient with that conditon. She has to remove it and the area has to be cleaned up. Maybe the thing is not really sterile or clean when they pierced it.I guess you have to removed it first..wait till the inflammation subsides. Clean it with betadine. Hope this helps

i would take out the earring its going to take it forever to heal with that bump irritating it and it might make the infection in it get worse

it's a cyst.

you might want to get it removed by a doctor, or wait for it to subside like a pimple.

You probably have a blood infection, get it treated before it gets worse.
