vob and vr files are MPEG2 files already.. with extra info attached....

you should be able to open/import them into whatever program you intend to use them in, assuming that program can read mpeg2

or if you can, you can just change the extention

(last resort)
Or...... you can use tSunami encoder.. but you do not need to reencode these files... (takes a loong time)

when you start up the encoder
-click cancel when the project wizard pops up
then file --> MPEG tools...
click on the Simple De-Multiplex (splits file into AUdio and Videos files)
follow the boxes
then click on Simple Multiplex, put the same files in the Audio/Video boxes..
this is kind of pointless...

(last, last resort)
use the VRO or VOB files as the input and reencode the files, use the project wizard for this

tmpegenc won't encode in MPEG2(DVD) unless you buy the full version
http://www.tmpgenc.net/

hope that helps =)
