I would check with a alternator specialist. I do know that with conventional alternators, the more amps you push the more power it robs from your engine. This is why drag cars use battery chargers instead of alternators. I have ran across a company on eBay that makes an alternator that runs about 140 amps and uses no more power than your stock one. I would go to eBay and do an alternator search.

If you search the aftermarket I think you can get about a 200 amp pretty easy.

AutoZone sells an aftermarket one that puts out 120 amps.
original puts out 90 amps
