I'm from New Zealand.
Skiing in Queenstown,
The shotover jet in Queenstown
Jumping off the Skytower (Auckland) (326 Meters high).
Bungee Jump (spelling?) somewhere (It was invented by a New Zealander).
Zorbing in Rotorua.
Visit the Hot and Mudpools in Rotorua (thermal activity area, steam coming out of the ground etc..)

PS: Rotorua smells a lot because there is so much sulpher in the air but you get used to it.

Enjoy!! :) + congratulations.

A friend of mine took a tour to New Zealand and Australia. While in New Zealand, all the people on the tour were sent out to the homes of native New Zealanders to spend an evening and have dinner with them. My friend said that was the greatest part of the whole tour for him. Apparently it's very beautiful there and he was in a home that had a pure glass front on it, that sat on the edge of lake looking up at incredibly beautiful mountains. He said the people were delightful and the meal they served was the same meal in each home that every person went to. You could probably learn more about that from a travel agent. Congratulations to you!

I would advise skiing at Mount Hutt,
Whale-watching at Kaikoura,
A bunjee jump and Zorb at the Agrodome near Rotorua,
If you're into scenery then Milford sound is a must (it was a horrible day when I was there but the waterfalls were beautiful because of the extra rain),
and if you have time then Stewart Island is a beautiful place as well.

There are heaps of things i have done that are the best over in NZ! (im from aus). You could rent a house at mount manganui (north island) and have a beach style honey moon or you could head down south and do some extreme action down near queenstown. Either island, there is just so much to do there!

I would go to Milford Sound on the south island.
