My hair is falling out. Whenever I take a shower, I have to clean off the drain because there is just tons of hair. I am always picking hair off my clothes. I know it is normal to shed, but I think this is more than the average person does. I don't have bald spots and you'd probably never know I was having an issue just by looking at me, but my hair is definitely a lot thinner now. Could it be something lacking in my diet or what? It's been going on for a couple years now.

Try taking vitamins...I was just recently told by my beautician that my hair is beginning to shed and I had also noticed it. She told me to begin taking vitamins. She told me any type of vitamins would help, but she recommended Nioxin which is specifically for healthy hair, nails and skin.

yes, it could be your diet or lack of nutrients. it could also be your habits like staying up late causes stress and so on. go to the doctor and mention this to him ask if there are any supplements that you can take like calcium. take note of what you have been eating, take note of your habits and mention this to the doctor. he might refer you to a dermatologist too. in the mean time avoid brushing your hair especially when its wet. use a wide tooth comb instead. try to rinse your hair with cold water. you can do this after conditioner.
