My husband and I own a townhome, and we recently had noisy renters move in next door. There is constantly noise everyday, everynight. Today, they were banging on the wall...to the point where things were shaking in my house. So, I went over there to ask what was going on. I was greeted by a furious older male who persisted to get in my face, and he told me if I had a problem to call the police. So, that's what I did. Previous to this incident, we called the owner of the townhome and complained. Anyway, the police came and we filed a report. The officer went over and talked to the renters. We live in Georgia, and I was wondering if anyone knew how I could get the noisy renters evicted?

I appreciate all your advice, but we are not renters! We own our townhome and the people beside us are renters.

It sounds like you're doing the right thing--contacting the owner and the police. The owner is the one who has to do the evicting, but I think if you keep letting him know about the problems, he might get the hint.

If I were an owner, I wouldn't want people like that in my property.

I am not sure how much you can really do besides file a police report, which you did, and complain to the landlord, which you also did. It may be one of those things that you have no control over. You may be able to move out even if you are under a term lease like one or two years. This noisy neighbor interferes with your right to peaceable enjoy your home and if the landlord does nothing to stop the noise, you may be able to void the lease as your landlord would be in breach of this standard part of a tenant-landlord agreement.

Make sure to take notes about what is happening. Send the landlord a certified letter explaining the situation so you have proof that you notified the landlord. If the landlord does nothing, tell them that you are leaving and get your lease agreement voided.

Continue to do what you are doing by filing complaints--------if you "own" the place then go to the local courthouse and file an"eviction" notice stating reasons why the eviction is taking place and be sure to state the notice of 30 days, 10 or however many days they ahve to leave. Hopefully you have pictures of your place prior to these people moving in/out in case they do ant damages you will have proof.

You can't get them evicted- you're their neighbor, not their landlord.

If the owner of the townhome is aware of the noise (and it certainly seems s/he is) and chooses to rent to them, you should start looking for a new apartment.

The first three people answered your question, You can't do nothing to evict them because you are not the landlord, Either you move or continue to call the police about the landlord, and continue to bring it up to your landlord and make them aware that its starting to be a problem.

call the owner again.state to him(or)her that you will no longer be there if they allow tenants to stay such as they are,and if they want you to continue to live there, and I assume pay rent, they better handle matters as such.Explain that you don't want to be a bad tenant, you just like your house respected as they would.
