Hawks? well don't worry unless you have a small dog,, you can try some statues of owls they scare off many birds! Even a hawk may stay clear!

unless your dog is REALLY tiny, the hawk is not going to mess with it. If you are concerned than do NOT let it run loose when you are not outside with it. If may be a pain to go out with the dog, but if you are really concerned you will. Remember, hawks are protected by law, you are not allowed to harass it in any way. Why not enjoy the Hawk. Wish I had one hanging out in my backyard. Don't listen to "lady cockateil", she will get you arrested or fined. She calls herself a bird breeder but obviously hates birds!

I think they are so beautiful- and I consider it a gift if one lands near you. But if your mom is worried- just put up a scare crow- it'll work for them too.

But you should know that the hawk may be there for a reason- such as a snake den may be near or there may be some type of rodant that lives near you. So having that hawk there may actually be helping you.

Air rifle. Those will generally scare off a hawk. If your dog is small, I'd keep an eye on it - not let it out alone. Even if the hawk isn't big enough to carry off your pup, he's big enough to severely injure your dog.

Yea SHOOT IT. That would get rid of it. If you have a small dog then yes it is stalking your dog and will kill it if given a split second of a chance. A dead bird is better then loosing your dog. Here in texas we'd have shot that sucker upon descovery of it.

assuming your dog is bigger than a rat, , , dont worry. try a scarecrow,, or umm scarehawk. like anything thatll make niose or blow in the wind. If it doesnt have a nest nearby it'll get sick of the hassle.
