will antibiotics work a second time? i am I completely hosed? will I die?

Twice a month, may not be a problem, yet! But, over a longish period of time, too much use of the drug may render the drug not so effective: so, you need to watch out, you need to develop immunity through good, effective diet and exercise habits, and through suppliments for some time, if required. But, don't get too nervous right now: go ahead and take antibiotics if the doctor advises so!

Yes, antibiotics will work a second time, but the real question is how did you contract it 2 times in a month? You should consider the possibility that you are living with a carrier, in which case, both of you need to be treated to prevent this in the future. You will not die as long as you get treated, but don't delay.

Well,strep is a funny little virus! There are Many different strains of Strep, it could be that you are unlucky and received 2 different types of Strep, consult your doctor for the proper medication, but antibiotics should work, also, make sure that you are getting enough Vitamin C, drink lots of OJ!

Many times the antibiotic that was prescribed was not effective in clearing the strep you may need a different or stronger one

u may need afull 4 week dose of a strong antibiotic to totally kill the strep. worked for me.

Yes, they will work. Make sure you finish them all, though, even if you feel better.
I am very suseptible to strep and this has happened to me more than once. Without treatment, yes, you could die. Strep is very dangerous.

They should. You never got completely over the first bout. Be extremely careful and do not over exert yourself. Mono could be around the corner for you. Rest, drink o.j. chicken noodle soup, and do as your doctor says. Mono is closer than you may think.

No you won't die, but I suggest you change your tooth brush after an illness. Germs stay on your tooth brush, especially in a bathroom where there's always moisture.
