I have a Siberian Husky who is 2.5 years, so still a pup. My hubby and I have just moved onto an acre from a really small place and Tzar starts barking first thing in the morning, like 430am. We have tried feeding him at night, in the morning, and once 3 times a day just to see if it helped and it hasn't. He is properly exercised and isn't ignored and I don't know what to do. It's driving us and the neighbours crazy... any suggestions. I don't know what to do anymore!!!!

Citronella collars work well, as do shock collars. He might be unfamiliar with the area still, and since this is "his" land, he needs to protect it. If you have automatic sprinklers, you could remote start them whenever he's barking up a storm.

Since he's still young, you could also give obedience school a shot, with praise for barking at appropriate times, and praise for being quite at appropriate times (like morning feedings.)

He could be seeing something out in the yard like a deer or an animal, but a bark collar is not a bad idea, just make sure it is humane kind, not one that is to powerful.

Get him a training collar. When he barks he gets a little shock. It won't really hurt him but it will train him very quickly. When he learns to stop barking you can take it off of him if you wish.

Local feed store or pet shop should have them. Or try an online pet store or eBay.

I have a german shephard he barks in the mornings too its usually all the noise from people leaving for work garage doors, trucks, I usually go outside pat him tell him its ok, guard dogs usually let you know when there is a noise if you let him know you have heard the noise he should settle he is just protecting you and the property.

He's probably not use to the new surroundings. You did move, right? When I got a new dog he barked a lot at my house but then he got use to his ssurroundings. Just wait a little longer to see if he settles down.
