The problem with Nuclear Power is dealing with the spent fuel which is still radioactive. It is expensive and dangerous to deal with. I think there should be a way of squeezing out the remaining energy in the spent fuel. I wonder if enough research has been spent on this. Anyways........ for certain applications, such as for aircraft carriers and other military applications, it is essential. But I don't think we should be building any more power plants using it. We should be concentrating on renewable energy sources.

its a good idea but it costs so much to build a plant and keep it up. I think coal is a better source of energy right now. Hopefully the democrats pass some energy reforms to help promote renewable energy like solar. people are scared of nuclear power, fearing a disaster that would kill millions of people and so on. all nuclear power does is heat water to turn turbines to make electricity, and there are many better, safer ways to heat water than with highly radioactive products that are then buried in the desert because they are too dangerous to do anything else with.
just my thoughts...

Nuclear power is NOT a form of electricity! You need to do some reading about nuclear power and you'll find the answer to your question.

It's valuable, but causes pollution. It's also non-renewable, so it won't be around forever.
