A true Christian, (one who has a relationship with Jesus rather than just a church whose doctrines they follow) would be able to understand the common goal of loving and serving God. It is only so-called Christians with limited understandings who believe that in order to be pleasing to God they must belong to some particular "team" and everyone who does not believe as they do will burn eternally in hell.
Its a pity--- the church has so polluted the teachings of Jesus that the truths are very hard to discover.
A Hindu should have no problem accepting a true Christian, but many people who go to churches are very narrow minded--- or unthinking--- and simply accept the dogma.
There are, however, a lot of spiritual people in the USA--- people who are searching for the answers without blindly accepting what some organization which has its own agenda is telling them.
Choose your close associates carefully--- look for intelligence, open-mindedness, and real spirituality.

You are greatly mistaken to think that Christians are offended by other religions. We are not. Rather we hold to the view that all other religions are false because there can only be one true religion. Yet this exclusive belief does not lead in intolerance, but rather tolerance (and at times persecution from others) towards others as we try to persuade others of the truth of Christianity.

I have a friend who is half Hindu and half Christian and his parents get along just fine. Usually the nature of the relationship transcends boundaries of religion, and when topic comes to religion, usually they choose one or the other, or find a happy medium.

Sure they can. The issue would simply be in finding the right person. If you meet someone with the maturity of spirit and personality to marry, then they ought to be able to find a way to blend your respective ways of life.
Just me.
All the best,

Yes they can be married. Christians have different views but it is up to the person if he or she will be willing to sacrifice their beliefs and try to adjust on his/her behalf's beliefs too.
