I think every person that abandons supernatural thinking is helping to repair the immense damage religion has caused (and continues to cause) throughout history.
Atheists tend to be the most peaceful, progressive and positive contibutors to society (just look at the scientific, medical & technological constributions.) Despite the nonsensical ravings of Christians, we are usually MORE ethical and moral then they are. For example, atheists commit far less crimes, and no atheist has ever started a world war!
Furthermore, three of the four most famous philantropists in history were/are atheists, Bill Gates, Warren Buffet and Andrew Carnegie.
It seems that atheists not only lead by example, we lead by a BETTER example.
Do you agree?

I wasnt a Christian before but now that I am, all i can say is that my life has changed completely. It went from bad to wonderful. I am never alone, and i always have someone to lean on in times of trouble and despair. The Lord Jesus Christ! thats who! He is so real to me. I believe you should atleast try it out. What do you have to lose! I thought becoming a Christian would be boring and I wouldnt have any fun......I was wrong! Life is better than ever! I ask you to please give it a chance. I want everyone to be saved. Its not even hard. Just message me and I'll tell you how.
ps: Christian are peaceful, it is a sin for us to not be peacemakers. What the crusaders did was wrong! The bible forbids any type of killing!
God bless!

I do not agree with you. I see you think that because a person says they are christian they should have no flaws. Well i am a christian and i never said i was perfect. That is the reason why God says that we should ask for forgiveness everyday before we go to be. Don't you see, the enemy which is the devil will not go for the ones that are already his, he will attack the ones that are saved by the blood of Jesus. So non belivers do not have anything to worry about right now but on judgement day, your asking for forgiveness, trying to stay out of hell, will not be any good any more. That is why we have to ask for it now. So i take it day by day trying to do Gods will for my life.

I agree with most of your points. Except for the statement that atheist commit less crimes. Because honestly there isnt a way to prove that. You are right about the war though.
Very good points indeed.
Few people realize this but...Thomas Jefferson was a man of little faith and battle between antagonistic and christian views...

Of course.
Roughly 10% of Americans are Atheists. But Atheists don't even make up 1% of the prison population.

in the event that they're talking for themselves, what are they saying? look at each and all of the various religions there. that would not argue for something different then the reality that many human beings decide to have a non secular corporation they're allied with. Your numbers do not take into approximately people who become conscious of with a undeniable faith yet who're not widely used attendees at amenities, or who're despite they declare to be in call in basic terms and for social motives in basic terms, not religious ones. It additionally would not evaluate many people who p.c. to not be pointed out as atheist or agnostic through social disadvantages in contact each now and then. whilst thrilling, those numbers are pointless in any form of dialogue with regard to the reality of deity.

Mark Twain was also a converted Atheist ^_^. And I think if more people started thinking for themselves and following their own moral codes, the world would be a much better place. Good for you for thinking outside the box.
