Political efficacy is the ability of a political group, such as a party to affect a desired outcome on some issue.

An affirmed ballot is one cast by a party "loyalist" or someone else whose ballot choices may be depended upon to be cast in the direction expected.

Party identification is merely an indicator of how a person tends to vote, usually based upon registration as a member of that party.
