They are both on the bottom molars next to the very back molars, and the spots are on the same place on both of them. They are on top of the teeth. My teeth don't hurt, and the spots showed up at exactly the same time. And I went to the dentist a couple weeks ago and they didn't see any cavities. And I would also like to mention that a couple days ago I ate some chocolate covered coffee beans. But I don't see how coffee beans would stay stuck in my teeth that long. What do you think? Are they cavities or not?

I forgot to mention that I went to the dentist to get my teeth cleaned. The spots weren't there when I went to the dentist.

You should brush the area where those black spots are really good. If you can try to pick at it a lil bit in case its just food stuck in your teeth. If its still not moving then most likely they are cavities. As long as you keep good care of your teeth such as brushing at least twice a day and mouth washing and flossing then your teeth will be okay until your next dentist visit. Good hygiene will keep the cavities from getting worst. I have one small speck on my tooth and my dentist just told me to keep brushing regularly to keep it from getting worst. If its small specks they wont do a filling until it gets bigger.

I do not know, maybe it is staining. Your dentist says that they are not cavities. I would leave it alone and see if it goes away, then if they don't, go to your dentist again. Have a great night!

if you just went to the dentist, they most likely wouldnt be a cavity,,,,, it could just be stains from the coffee beans,, try using baking soda and rubbing or brushing the spots,,,,,,,

If it was cavaties or the beans, the dentist would have figured this out. What did the dentist think it was?
