i just bought a new 700c wheel/rim and i dont know what size tire to order. i have a 27 1 1/4'' tire from my old 27'' wheel. will that do? and also, i've seen 700c tires that vary in widths; 700x30, 700x28 all the way down to 700x15. would all of these fit my 700c tire?
thanks

No WAY Man! - 700 is 700 and 27 is 27

Unless you are less than 120lbs I would not go smaller than a 23C.
If you are more than 180lbs I would go up to a 25C.

First number is the Diameter - Second number is the width in Milimeters.

You CAN NOT put 700c wheel is a frame for 27's and you CAN NOT put 27's in a frame that was made for 700C's

I hope this helps you out!

No, the tire will not fit. You need a 700c tire. Now depending on what type of bike you have, road or hybrid, would depend on what size tire you would need. Road bike should be anywhere from a 700c X 20 through 700c X 28. Hybrid or cross bikes will generally run a 700c X 35 through 700c X 45. Hope this answers your question.

No, it will not fit. Even though a 27" tire and a 700c tire are very close in size, they are different enough that they are NOT interchangeable.

700C tires are smaller diameter, but curiously enough a 28" (euro, not mtb) tire WILL fit onto a 700C rim.

No offense intended, but I grinned when I saw the "MS-150 mechanic". I saw one of those guys clamp a carbon fiber frame in a stand and crush the tubing, destroying the bike. I suppose you get what you pay for. Again, NO OFFENSE INTENDED.

No. The 700c is slightly smaller. Although the tubes are interchangeable.

Brandon NO they gained't extra wholesome. they have distinctive diameters. Tubes will paintings,. simply by fact they're 'balloons' that replenish and conform tot the tire casing.... so, there is a few flexibility in sizing. Soccerref

I did find out that the tubes will interchange somewhat as long as the valves are the same, BUT the tires themselves DO NOT interchange.
